A Confession

A CONFESSION

I've got a (not so secret) secret I need to share. And a big fat confession.

A couple weeks ago I was waiting in the hospital Starbucks while my man was having some tests. I 'should' have been writing some new articles, but alas, I found myself down an online rabbit hole.

As you do.

But, I stumbled across something very, VERY cool - which will forever be my valid reason that some random internet wondering isn't always a bad thing because who knows what good stuff - ok, or freakishly weird stuff - you'll find.

So anyway...

ENTER : THIS

Now I'm a lover of a good psychology test, but this one. This is different.

THIS IS GAME CHANGING.

You know how most tell you more about yourself - which is cool - however this one instead tells you how the world (and your clients) sees you.

Which takes me to...

THE CONFESSION

When I first started business coaching, during our sessions I'd have some clients say things like...

"When I had a session with 'so-in-so coach', they said I 'should'..."

As soon as I'd hear that, I'd start to doubt myself - especially when it was a coach I knew had been in business longer than I had.

The advice, ideas, strategies I was giving them often went against their previous advice - so maybe I was wrong..?? Maybe I didn't actually know what I was talking about??

But then, if I was 'wrong', how was I achieving the success I was? How was I attracting the clients I did? And repeat clients at that.

So I carried on doing what I was doing, just with a self doubt little niggle in the back of my head.

UNTIL THIS TEST.

It showed me how my clients saw me - as their 'Secret Weapon'

How I was an innovator, a boundary pusher, a status quo challenger who loves generating fresh new ideas. And, instead of helping clients 'fit in' the game - to create their very own.

OHHHHHHHHHHHH.

It wasn't that I was 'wrong' at all. It was simply I didn't follow the regular 'step by step' coaching business model.

I've zero interest in telling my clients to do something in a certain way, to force them into some box they don't want to be in.

I WANT TO HELP THEM CREATE THE MOST AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL BUSINESS (AND LIFE) OF THEIR OWN DESIGN, ONE THAT FEELS DAMN GOOD TO **THEM** - NOT TO FOLLOW ANYONE ELSE'S PATH TO THEIR VERSION OF 'SUCCESS'.

BOOM. PENNY DROPPED. SELF DOUBTING 'NIGGLE' - GONE.

So, if you couldn't tell already, I can't recommend Sally's test enough. It's one big eye opener.

If you wanna try it for yourself, you'll find it here
