Last week I had a coaching call with a client.

It was a one off call (something I don't normally do). She was struggling with how to move her business forward, with how to slot all the pieces into place and actually launch it.

She thought she needed more jigsaw puzzle pieces (to do more). She didn't. After listening, she was actually trying to be everything to everyone...

Instead of the right person/solution for just the right people.

I saw the light bulb go off, PING. Before taking a deep breath and realising 'oh crap, this is my niche and total passion, and I haven't been owning it at all...'

Within 24 hours of our call, words started pouring out of her. All of a sudden she knew exactly what to say, how to say it, and who she needed to say it to (those soon to be clients who NEEDED what she offered).

A couple days later I received another email from her (I love these ones), where she said...

'I've been really thinking after our call, and what I REALLY want to do is run my own retreats. I haven't been owning that either, I thought I had to do X,Y,Z first. But then I thought, instead of starting big with a full on week long retreat, why don't I maybe hold some day retreats, and see how those go...?'

She told me before she lost the new found courage in her, she reached out to someone she used to know who had a retreat centre and held them regularly.

Their reply? They LOVED her ideas, and they've since arranged a meeting to discuss and plan them in full.

That's self care right there.

Fully listening to and honouring what you dream of most, and taking one (courageous) step towards them day after day, no matter how nervous you are to hit 'send' on that email.

From ONE call she has her niche. From ONE call (and one step), she's in talks about brining one of her biggest dreams to life.

So my question for you today is...

What one courageous step can you take TODAY, that could change everything?

- Hit send on that one email?
- Say yes to an opportunity & figure out the details/how later (one of Richard Branson's faves).
- Write the first chapter of your book?

As Brené Brown says in her book The Gifts of Imperfection...

"Courage is like - it's a habitus, a habit, a virtue: You get it by courageous acts. It's like you learn to swim by swimming. You learn courage by couraging."

With the biggest of love -
