You are not obliged to...

To be the same person you were last year, last month, or even five minutes ago.

To answer every email the second they come in. Or even on the same day. Or even, ever.

To say yes when you want to say no.

To stay with him (or her), even though you once promised 'forever'.

To keep doing the anything you don't wanna do.

To stay in a job you hate, or business you've fallen out of love with... There's always another way.

To finish the book you started that promised so much, yet is boring you to tears half way through (the same goes for movies).

To always be there when called upon, (taking time just for you is more than ok).

To do as you're 'expected' (or to be what anyone else 'expects' you to be).

To put up with anyone in your life who doesn't treat you with kindness and respect.

To settle a 'normal' life, with a 'normal' job and a 'normal' house and marriage and kids and... - if (socially acceptable) 'normal' isn't not your thing.

You're not obliged to do ANYTHING you don't want to do.

You have ONE life, full permission granted to live it as you wish. Just make sure you decide what (and how) that is, before someone else decides for you.
